The Offer

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)

• Specialised Truck Operation: Safely and efficiently operate Heavy Rigid (HR) waste collection trucks on assigned routes.

• Route Execution: Execute daily schedules for commercial and residential waste collection across the Canberra and Queanbeyan catchment areas.

• Meticulous Collection: Perform the pick-up and tipping of bins, ensuring all collections are performed accurately and in compliance with safety procedures.

• Logistics & Handling: Assist with the manual loading and unloading of waste containers and materials as required.

• Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company, providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients and the public.

• Vehicle Care: Conduct mandatory pre-start/post-start checks and maintain the vehicle's cleanliness and operational efficiency.

• Long-Term Commitment: Demonstrate dedication to a stable, long-term role.

Essential Requirements (What You Will Bring)

• Licensing: Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Australian Driver's Licence (essential).

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of proven HR truck driving experience, ideally in waste, local delivery, or a similar high-frequency route-based environment.

• Driving Record: A clear and verifiable driving record is mandatory.

• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients.

• Work Ethic: Reliable, hardworking, and possesses a proactive, positive attitude toward work and safety.

• Availability: Willingness to commit to early morning starts and the required shift structure.
